Our story begins when I first arrived in Dallas, Texas, at a time when I was seeking a new adventure in my life. Growing up as a passionate electronic music enthusiast and freelance journalist, my heart was aching to live an adventurous lifestyle where I could spend my time creating and experiencing the mantra I've always lived by: "Work Hard, Play Hard." Little did I know that the EDM community not just in the city, but the state as a whole, would not only welcome me with opportunities and open arms but also become that transformative force in my life. As I embarked on my journey, attending and working countless shows and festivals across the state, something magical unfolded. I found myself immersed in a sea of like-minded individuals, all bound by a shared passion for electronic dance music. It has not been just the beats that captivate us; it is the undeniable sense of belonging, the profound compassion, and the general sense of community that echoed through every event.
In the heart of the EDM Texas scene, I discovered more than just a magic genre, I discovered a family. A family that embraces newcomers with warmth, understanding, and acceptance. Inspired by the connections and love I experienced within the EDM community, I was determined to create a digital hub, a center of unity that could serve as a headquarters for like-minded individuals. After two years of pushing, meditating, and hustling, EDM Texas was born, fueled by the desire to share new music, promote talented artists, and celebrate the unique spirit of the Texas dance scene.
