EDM Texas: Growing up in a family with such a solid musical foundation, especially with your Father as a musician, must have profoundly impacted you! Can you share what it was like being surrounded by music from a young age and how your Father’s influence has shaped your journey as an artist?  LV82: Music has always played a big part in my family through parties, my Father’s gigs at weddings, band rehearsals, Clubs, Festivals, etc., and even early morning cleaning. I have always found music intriguing and love how sounds make me feel. My dad helped me understand tempos and Keys, inspiring me to create music and express my ideas. EDM Texas: Playing in Los 6 de Durango with your Father and uncles must have been an incredible experience! How did being a part of that band shape your foundation as a musician?  LV82: Playing in a band with my family was great! I have many memories! I learned many skills and discovered struggles like equipment setup and breakdown, troubleshooting while setting up and performing, and practice. Consistency is the most significant foundation to becoming an artist. I remember always coming home from school and straight to the drums, I would go! I would practice the songs I needed to learn for the performance, and from there, I would better my craft each time. I maintained consistency in DJing, music production, and performing as time passed. EDM Texas: When you first started exploring electronic music, what captivated you about the genre, and how has it given you artistic freedom compared to your early experiences?  LV82: Listening to electronic music made me realize I have the freedom to express my ideas through music. It makes me feel emotion through my body from the groove of the drums and the raw melodies it brings me. Artists like XXYYXX , Flume , Diplo , John Murphy , and Deorro  inspire me to create music, and trying to make similar songs has led me to experiment with different sounds and instruments. I love a good melody, especially the ones that make you levitate. EDM Texas: With housepartii, your duo with Nnoiise, you’ve created something special together! How did this collaboration come about, and how has working as a duo influenced your approach to music?  LV82: I understand NNoiise, and he understands me. We started music production and DJing together, and as kids, we loved similar artists and sounds. We even had dreams of starting a rock band back then! The first duo project we started was Lokosanity , and we had a great time creating music and DJing for events. As time passed, we started a new sound with new goals - that's when Housepartii  came about. Working next to NNoiise has taught me to be open to possible music opportunities. Curating events with him has made me realize how important music is to us. We do it because we love it. Making people dance and hyping them up is what we live for. The look on everyone’s face when we show them a project or go B2B is something we have always dreamed of. EDM Texas: You’ve played some exciting shows, from Latinx Groove in Puerto Rico to Lief Fest and Noche de Cumbia in Houston! Which performances stand out to you as milestones, and how have these experiences shaped your growth and presence as a live performer?  LV82: Latinx Groove  in Puerto Rico is by far my favorite show I have ever played! It was the first time using CDJs in front of a packed crowd! The energy over there is AMAZING! Performing there excites me and makes me want to take my DJ career to the next level. I felt a strong connection with the crowd, and I had a smile on my face the whole time! That show made me realize that bringing energy to the crowd is essential, not just your playlist. Engaging with fans is one of my favorite things about DJing! EDM Texas: Looking ahead, how do you envision expanding your reach and evolving your sound?  LV82: In the future, I want to create more content and post more live mixes. I want people to know what I'm about and what I can bring. I will still be releasing music and an album soon. So far this year, I have met great local DJs and amazing people along the way who believe in me, and I am grateful! I do my best to show love and support to my friends, especially those who have helped me. I also want to do more collaborative projects to expand my horizons. EDM Texas: As you look to the future, what’s next for you and Housepartii? Can you share any upcoming performances or goals you’re excited to pursue in the coming months and years?  LV82: On November 23rd, we are doing our third Elev8ted Euphoria  event, where different genre DJs put on a show for amazing people. NNoiise and I will have our single sets and come together to do a B2B set with Housepartii! I want to keep this momentum going with no brakes. I am hungry and ready! LV82’s evolution is one to watch. With a sound forged into the gritty heart of Chicago’s underground, Nicky brings a depth of musical history and a fiercely unique style to his craft. Currently residing in Dallas, he blends house, techno, and dubstep elements to captivate audiences and create a lasting impression that leaves them wanting more. We had the chance to catch up with Nicky Bender to dive into his journey, his approach to genre-blending, and what’s next for one of Texas’s rising talents. EDM Texas: Chicago has a rich history in the underground music scene. How did growing up there shape your approach to music, and what elements of that scene do you carry into your music today?   Nicky Bender: Most people know that house music originated in Chicago, so it’s natural that I draw to it. With OG guys like Marshall Jefferson  and Frankie Knuckles  shaping the scene, Green Velvet  and Kaskade  are the guys I grew up listening to, and I have always wanted to be around them. The guys you don't know about, though - you would see at the underground warehouse raves or could only hear on certain days of the week late at night on 99.9 Electric on the Radio , were the guys that made house music famous within the movement. EDM Texas: Moving from Chicago to Dallas, how did the shift in location influence your sound and creative energy?   Nicky Bender : People naturally like to adapt when moving into a new environment. However, it only changed my approach a little. I wanted to stay true to my style and continue standing out to listeners. Dallas has a fantastic music scene, and I am thrilled to participate! EDM Texas: Your music combines intricate melodies with heavy-hitting beats across house, techno, and dubstep! Can you walk us through your creative process when blending these genres, and what do you think sets your sound apart from the electronic music scene?   Nicky Bender: Many artists like being one-dimensional, which works great for them. I like to deliver a performance that keeps people engaged; no matter who is there, I can keep them engaged. I see more DJs play multiple genres during their sets and I love their versatility. I spend countless hours listening and practicing blending these genres to see what sounds great. My years of experience come into play when I mix genres and immerse myself in music for so long, shaping my approach. I want it to be an experience. Something that genuinely makes people happy and creates an unforgettable memory. EDM Texas: You recently debuted your first single, “Switch,”  which has already gained impressive traction with 10K streams! What has the journey been like from producing that track to gearing up for future releases?   Nicky Bender: I’m blown away! I didn't think this track would get over a few hundred streams. It is impressive to see it used on primary EDM pages’ reels and supported by artists. It hasn't been easy, though; I have a bit of imposter syndrome. Whether creating music or preparing a set, it isn’t great until it's out there, and I can see people's reactions. I am a perfectionist and can be hard on myself. Still, thankfully, I have so many amazing people in my life who are constantly encouraging me and give uncondition al support. EDM Texas: Malik Mustache has even backed your track. How have these milestones shaped you as a producer?   Nicky Bender: The Malik Mustache boys have been great to work with, and having their support on the track means the world to me. Having a big-name artist like them play my track motivates me to continue staying true to my style and knowing it’s okay to be different and dream big! EDM Texas: You’ve performed at iconic spots across Dallas, like Jack’s House, and your headline-opening at Tiny Victories! How do you approach each performance, and what do you hope people will take away from each set?   Nicky Bender: My goal each time is for people to leave a venue, talk about my set that night but also the next day, and want to attend again. When they see my name on a lineup, they get excited, and it's something they can look forward to. As long as people are dancing and having a good time, I’ve done what I came to do. EDM Texas: You’ve mentioned that staying genuine is a big part of who you are as an artist. How does this authenticity shape your music & performances, and how do you think it resonates with your fans and builds a loyal following?   Nicky Bender: With the scene being more significant than ever and the influx of people wanting to be DJs and producers, it is essential to be authentic. I'm not a trend-follower; I want to be a trendsetter. I want people to hear my sets and say, “Damn, that's how I want to play.” I'm not worried about social media followers or becoming famous - it's all about the music for me and being able to perform, whether in front of 15 people or 1500. It's the best natural high you can get. The music scene is a community, not a competition; I want to see everyone succeed and follow their dreams. I always want to help my fellow artists in any way I can! EDM Texas: What are your future aspirations as you continue to grow in the music scene? How do you envision expanding your reach and creating more unforgettable experiences for your audiences in Texas and beyond?   Nicky Bender: 2024 was a breakout year for me, with two tracks released on record labels, moving to a new city, and being able to play at some of the top venues. I am truly blessed. That's only the start of things. In 2025, I have big goals: to release a multi-genre EP showcasing my versatility, play at a festival, and travel out of the country and play. Seeing how my music streams worldwide is crazy to me, so I know all of these goals are achievable, and I won’t stop until I meet them! For a second, there’s a collective gasp - a pause - then a wave of energy floods the room, and the crowd surges back to life cheering. This moment captures the magic of Dario Fuentes, known to the DFW scene as DJ Edge, a local legend who thrives on unpredictability. He seamlessly adapts to the crowd’s pulse and can overcome challenges to keep the energy alive.  We talked with DJ Edge, diving into the turning points and community connections fueling his journey. From his early days mixing Latin and hip-hop to his rise on the DFW EDM scene, DJ Edge opens up in our interview about the evolution of his style and passion for crafting unforgettable experiences that keep fans on their toes.  EDM Texas: You started mixing Latin and hip-hop tracks in 2009. Can you tell us what originally drew you into DJing? DJ Edge: My brother was a turntablist in the early 2000s. I vividly remember asking him “Hey, can you try and teach me how this works? The sounds from the speakers sound really cool.” I was around 8-9 years old when I learned the basics of beat matching correctly and mixed my first two songs. It mentally clicked as soon as I did it alone, and I said, “Is there more music I can do this with?” EDM Texas: What about electronic dance music pulled you in and inspired you to shift from Latin clubs to larger EDM venues and how did this change influence your approach and style as a DJ?  DJ Edge: The melodic sound and structure of the song “Blue” by Eiffel 65 . The way the song pulls you in, the beat of the music, the laser sounds, etc. I remember listening to it for the first time, and just out of nowhere, I started dancing. I immediately captured that moment mentally and wondered, “If this song can make me feel this way, what else is out there?” I started looking for songs that had that similar effect; tracks that can make you feel good.   EDM Texas: Your sets are known for blending multiple genres into seamless, immersive experiences! Can you walk us through your approach to crafting these sets and how you balance such a wide range of styles while keeping the flow?  DJ Edge: I approach it headfirst by trial and error. During my first legitimate gigs years ago, I accepted every song request. I took literal notes on pen and paper and wrote down what worked for me and the crowd. It was a lot of on-the-spot research. I created my formula of being a few steps ahead on what type of show books me, and the crowd there and finding the right tracks to play at the time slot that I will perform. EDM Texas: You’ve mentioned that the motto “improvise, adapt, and overcome,” inspired by Bear Grylls , speaks to your approach as a DJ. How does this philosophy play out in your live performances, especially when reading the crowd or switching genres?  DJ Edge: The endless variables that can and will happen at shows. You can plan what tracks you want to play mentally, and if they don’t work, then what? I’ve performed at house music, dubstep, trance, and techno shows and the crowd told me, “Hey man, can you play a different genre?” I’ve played house music at dubstep shows and drum and bass at house music shows. That’s how I created my signature as a DJ - being able to improvise on the spot to make the CROWD happy. Once you can make the crowd happy, they will remember you. EDM Texas: Due to this impressive skill, you've built a diverse repertoire that performs everywhere from intimate spots like the Green Elephant to significant venues like Southside Ballroom and the Granada Theater! Can you share how you adapt your sets to different crowd sizes and vibes? DJ Edge: Everyone has a different music taste; every show has a different crowd. Depending on the type of show, you have a blueprint of what you’re getting yourself into. My most memorable memory was playing at the video bar at the Lizard Lounge. I opened at 9 pm with house music and ended the night playing reggaeton music. How did that happen? It was going with the flow. And it worked! EDM Texas: You’ve collaborated with some significant promo companies in DFW, like DFW Rave Fam, Pulsation Nation, HAM Promos, and Studio 254. How have these partnerships helped you expand your audience and bring new energy to the Texas EDM community?  DJ Edge: Everything starts with planting seeds, creating, building, and maintaining genuine relationships and friendships. They have all helped me by allowing and trusting me with being able to show them my passion for being a DJ. I’m able to give them my absolute best every time I perform. They’ve helped me by allowing me to get better at every single show and creating unforgettable memories. Every show I play enables me to have a new set of ears and feel and hear something new. I have the chance to make someone’s day better. EDM Texas: Beyond performing, what does being part of the local scene mean to you and how do you see your role in building and supporting the DFW EDM community? DJ Edge: Being part of the local scene is fantastic. It lets me spectate the new up-and-coming talent that's also hungry for the same passion that I have. DJ Rubi’s artistry is rising - and she is just getting started.  Origin, Influences & The Experience DJ Rubi’s dive into the drum and bass scene began in high school, where her love for electronic music took a turn. The moment she heard her first drum and bass track, it was a sound unlike anything she’d ever encountered. “The fast-paced beats, the deep basslines, and the genre’s energy just resonated with me on a whole new level,” Heather says. “ Chase & Status , High Contrast , Hybrid Minds , Shy Fx , Hedex , Wilkinson , Netsky , Kanine , and King of Rollers were some of my early musical influences. I learned a lot from watching seasoned DJs perform. Their mixing skills, track selection, and how they read the crowd taught me the importance of creating a journey with my sets.”  DJ Rubi quickly honed her preferences, gravitating towards sub-genres that spoke to her-liquid drum and bass for its melody, Neurofunk, and intricate, aggressive beats. Experimenting with sounds and techniques in her mixes allowed her to sharpen and define her unique style.  “I focused on blending smooth transitions with unexpected drops, creating a dynamic and immersive experience for the listeners, “ Heather explains. “Over time, I found a balance between technical precision and emotional expression, which became the hallmark of my signature style in drum and bass.” DJ Rubi’s sets are renowned for their high-energy mixing, designed to take the crowd on an engaging journey from start to finish. Her approach blends thoughtful track selection, tension-building, dynamic flow, and a personal touch of emotional connection to create an unforgettable experience.  “I start by choosing tracks that have a strong energy and complement each other well,” Heather explains. I look for tracks with powerful basslines, catchy melodies, and dynamic drops. These tracks set the mood and gradually increase the energy. I use longer transitions and layering to create a seamless flow between songs. Music is a powerful emotional tool, and I strive to create moments in my set that evoke strong emotions. Whether it's a euphoric build-up, a nostalgic melody, or an unexpected drop, these moments help forge a deeper connection with the audience. I achieve this through unique mashups and live remixing. I mix tracks with different tempos and intensities to create peaks and valleys, ensuring the crowd stays engaged without feeling overwhelmed. It’s about infusing my personality and style into the performance, making each set unique and memorable.” For DJ Rubi, creating an immersive experience involves engaging the senses and emotions. She crafts a journey that captivates from start to finish by focusing on atmosphere, storytelling, crowd interaction, energy flow, and a deep personal connection with the audience.  “These elements play a huge role in setting the mood and enhancing the overall experience,” Heather says. “I like to tell a story through my set. I carefully select tracks that flow together and create a narrative. Each track should feel like a chapter, building towards a climax and resolving. I also consider the venue’s atmosphere, lighting, visuals, and sound quality. Engaging with the crowd is crucial. Sharing my passion and story about how I first got involved in the EDM scene and what drew me to the drum and bass genre helps create a deeper connection with the audience.” DJ Rubi’s Impact on the Texas EDM Scene DJ Rubi has performed in various settings, from intimate bars to large-scale festivals. Standout shows include venues like Bodega  and The Green Elephant , and her residency at Arlington’s Dirty Mule Bar . Recently, she took part in Not Alone  at The Green Elephant, a non-profit event by Simbolizm  and AFSP , with proceeds supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Whether at a small venue or a major festival, DJ Rubi seamlessly adapts her sets and maintains her signature sound by reading the vibe and energy of each space.  “This show was a reminder to let everyone know you are loved and that you matter,” Heather says. “There were resources available to help anyone in need. It was a beautiful experience to express my emotions through music and take the listeners on a journey with me.” DJ Rubi’s presence in the DFW EDM scene has skyrocketed, earning her a solid reputation within the community. Her performances across various DFW venues have only strengthened her connection to the Texas EDM scene.  ”The support from local venues has been incredible,” Heather says. “Each venue has its unique vibe and crowd, which has helped me understand and appreciate the diversity within the community. They’ve given me platforms to showcase my sound and connect with fans who are just as passionate about EDM as I am. Being active in the community, attending events, and collaborating with other local artists has strengthened my ties within the scene. Over the past year, the collective has celebrated diversity through music and cultivated a welcoming space where people from various backgrounds can connect. With DJ Ferno at the helm, they embody a mission rooted in love and authenticity, paving the way for a vibrant community that resonates well beyond Austin’s borders.  The Birth & Community Building of Baraza Musiq Baraza Musiq was born from DJ Ferno’s childhood experiences at school assemblies, where communities gathered to learn and share. This concept evolved into assembly events he organized in Philadelphia and New York. After moving to Austin, DJ Ferno gradually reconnected with his Mother’s early teachings to shape the mission of Baraza Musiq. “We gather around music - spelled with a ‘Q’ as a nod to Philadelphia like Musiq Soulchild!” DJ Ferno claims. “That’s how Baraza, which means ‘gathering’ in Swahili, came to be. It’s all about using music to bring people together.”   Baraza Musiq fosters unity among diverse cultural influences in Austin, celebrating a variety of origins - from Latin and African influences to Southeast Asian traditions. The Anniversary Party last Friday, featuring Kunal Merchant from Indo Warehouse at The Courtyard ATX , exemplified Baraza Musiq’s commitment to unity and cultural celebration.   “It’s about bringing the core of our diverse cultures together in a melting pot and showcasing it through house music,” DJ Ferno says. “This creates a unique vibe for Austin and globally!” Spotlight on DJ Ferno DJ Ferno’s journey in the music industry is remarkable, as he’s established himself as a key figure in Austin’s EDM scene. He began DJing at 16, receiving turntables for his birthday, and playing at parties and events, eventually connecting with Dayne Jordan. While DJing and producing with Dayne, they sold out shows in Philadelphia, where he toured with Lupe Fiasco , catching the eye of DJ Jazzy Jeff . Ferno spent seven years with Jeff’s Vinyl Destination crew, honing his skills across various music genres. A pivotal moment in his career came when he witnessed Kenny Dope and Terry Hunter perform at the Chosen Few Picnic in Chicago, where 50,000 people were rocking to house music. “That sparked something in me, and it set me on this path,” DJ Ferno says. “During a tour stop in Austin, I visited places like the old Kingdom and experienced rave culture for the first time. Even though I moved here in 2020, I’ve been coming to Austin since 2015.” DJ Ferno’s sets radiate a distinct energy that captivates audiences in Austin and beyond. He describes his sound as the “sound of love,” emphasizing his role as a conduit for that love to flow through his music.  “Love is undeniable, and I believe that if I play what I truly love, you’ll feel it too - because it comes from love,” he says.  Baraza Musiq’s 1st Anniversary Event with Kunal Merchant On Friday, October 4th, Baraza Musiq’s 1st Anniversary was a celebration rooted in love, marked by a strong sense of community, safety, and inclusiveness. It all began with the intention of playing music rooted in love. From overcoming COVID-19 pandemic challenges to bringing world-class talent to Texas, NRG Music Events has quickly made its mark on the DFW electronic dance music scene. Founded by Raul Sarmiento in 2022, NRG emerged when live music was coming back, seizing the opportunity to curate top-tier trance and techno events. We sat down with Raul to learn more about the story behind NRG, its dual brands - TRANCEPORTAL and INTELLECT - and how their commitment to world-class production has redefined the Texas EDM community.  EDM Texas: You moved to Dallas from Los Angeles in 2019 to pursue your corporate career, but soon after, you founded NRG Music Events! Can you tell us how that transition from the corporate world sparked your passion for curating music events? Raul: I transitioned into a corporate job seven years ago to support my family after the birth of my first child. Before that, I worked at startups like RaveReady.com  and Clubstyle, where I manufactured clubwear. The transition was easy for me because I always had a passion for hosting events and had previous experience.  EDM Texas: What gaps did you notice in the DFW electronic music community, and how did that influence your vision for curating talent that resonates with the fans here? Raul: I needed help finding trance and techno shows I wanted to attend. The city leans heavily towards bass and house, which is excellent for those who enjoy it, but it wasn’t my vibe.  EDM Texas: In 2022, despite the pandemic's challenges, you, Ryan Mcleod, and your sister, Erika, turned your vision into reality with the founding of NRG Music Events! Can you walk us through that pivotal year and how the collaboration with Ryan and Erika shaped the brand’s early success? Raul: The first two events were just Ryan and I, as we threw a couple of underground warehouse parties with Triceratops and Arctic Moon. We started gaining real traction, and my sister saw the potential, quickly stepping in to help bring our vision to life. Our third event, featuring Billie Gillies , put us on the map in DFW. We sold out the Ridglea Room  in Fort Worth; the rest is history from there!  EDM Texas: One of the standout elements of NRG Music Events is your TRANCEPORTAL brand, which has brought global trance legends like Bryan Kearney, Simon Patterson, and John Askew to Texas! What inspired you to focus on trance, and how did you secure such renowned artists for your events?  Raul: Trance music is my passion! It’s such a unique genre that connects people worldwide in a way no other genre can. I’ve even traveled to Europe to attend specific trance festivals. I’ve also been DJing in the scene since 2008. During that time, I had the privilege of meeting and performing alongside many of my favorite artists. In Trance, We Trust!  EDM Texas: In addition to TRANCEPORTAL, you also launched INTELLECT, a subdivision focused on techno that caters to a different audience. What motivated you to branch into techno? Raul: I’m excited about our INTELLECT project and bringing this to the DFW scene. Right now, the brand features a lot of neo-rave and hard techno, but I’m working to get proper underground techno into the mix soon. Bring back the roots of the underground rave scene!  EDM Texas: How do you balance these two worlds while keeping both audiences engaged? What strategies do you use to ensure each event feels unique yet part of the more prominent NRG brand? Raul: It’s not easy, but we’ve gained incredible support for both brands. What’s fascinating is seeing how, while each crowd may be a small sample of supporters, they are entirely different. I aim to represent both brands and throw an event, each with their own stage. That’s something I’m excited to bring to life! EDM Texas: NRG Music Events is known for its exceptional production quality, thanks to partnerships with companies like Dream Beam Lasers and Daisy One World! How do these collaborations enhance the overall attendee experience, and what role does high-quality production play in creating memorable events? Raul: Dream Beam Lasers have been with us since Day One, and we take great pride in the unique production value we bring to each event. No two events are ever the same, thanks to the creative team of Peter and Jacob, who can transform the same venue into entirely new experiences every time. Daisy One World joined our events when I discovered my friend Brialice was the company’s President. I’ve always believed in adding extra production to our events, stunning visuals or on-stage performances, and her team has delivered! It’s been a pleasure collaborating with them.  EDM Texas: How does your commitment to high production quality differentiate NRG from other promoters in the Texas music scene, and what impact does this level of detail have on the overall event experience?  Raul: I research shows here and in LA, watching the latest productions and creative ideas. Recently, we introduced our 360-degree stages, with incredible strobe lighting, to create a more intimate and intense experience. You have to be there! EDM Texas: What are your and your team’s plans for expanding NRG Music Events’ reach and growing your fanbase in the future? Are there any upcoming plans or teasers for future shows?  Raul: This life isn’t easy. It’s a constant grind, taking wins and losses, like any other business. But our passion for what we do keeps us going, and we’re fully committed to pushing the boundaries of our scene. We’re gearing up to bring our city new and unique experiences. This past weekend, the Dallas electronic music community soared to new heights with SILO’s grand opening, a venue set to reshape the local landscape, and with enthusiastic fans and top-tier artists in attendance, the inaugural weekend proved that SILO has not come to play.  The Venue & Opening Weekend SILO Dallas, once a 1959 grain silo for the Johnson Grain Company , has been transformed into a sleek, modern venue that blends industrial history with top-tier design. The space maintains its raw, warehouse aesthetic, as it pays homage to old-school rave culture with towering pillars to evoke the underground scene, significantly similar to those in Europe. SILO’s 40-foot ceilings and elegant, open layout provide an awe-inspiring sense of space, amplified by its tech-forward design.  SILO Dallas made its grand entrance this weekend with sold-out performances from EDM heavyweights Tiësto and Deorro , alongside resident DJs Roy Montez and Chris Schambacher . The high-energy sets, combined with SILO’s immersive tech and vibrant atmosphere, got the crowd jumping and celebrating. Attendees were buzzing with excitement over SILO’s size and chic, industrial vibe, with one fan exclaiming, “We’ve needed a venue like this in Dallas for so long!”  All weekend, the sold-out crowds admired the spacious layout, while the smooth entry process, despite lines wrapping around the building, impressed many. Despite being packed to capacity, SILO delivered a surprisingly comfortable experience, thanks to its well-balanced temperature and top-notch AC ventilation. Overall, fans fully embraced the warehouse feel and modern tech, reinforcing the sense that SILO is becoming a new favorite in the Texas EDM scene.  Sound, Lights, Production & Layout This weekend, SILO Dallas put its 100,000-watt sound system and intriguing screen displays to the test and delivered a stimulating experience for attendees. The music’s clarity and intensity created a miraculous audio experience, as the robust system filled the space and kept the crowd dancing all night. The dazzling screen displays and lighting setup by Dream Beam Lasers transformed SILO into a mesmerizing spectacle—colorful visuals synchronized with the music, creating a visually stunning environment encompassing the crowd. The dance floor at SILO was the epicenter of this weekend’s excitement, featuring a sleek wood/laminate surface that energized the crowd. While many fans love the smooth flooring, some pointed out the presence of carpet in other areas. The industrial pillars added to the venue’s authentic warehouse vibe, but reactions were mixed - some appreciated the character they brought, while others felt they constrained standing space.  SILO’s warehouse vibe perfectly captured the essence of old-school rave culture, which resonated deeply with attendees. Many described it as a “perfect blend of the underground with a touch of class,” where the gritty charm of industrial design met modern amenities. This unique atmosphere creates a captivating backdrop that appeals to seasoned ravers and newcomers alike.  SILO Dallas Operations Even during sold-out shows, SILO’s entry process proved impressively efficient. Although lines wrapped around the building, attendees praised the swift handling by staff, who kept things running smoothly. The overall efficiency of the entry ensured that fans spent less time waiting and more time enjoying the inside atmosphere. SILO’s well-placed bars edging the stage kept the drinks flowing smoothly, even as lines grew longer. Attendees were impressed by the bartenders’ efficiency, who ensured no one had to wait too long for their beverages. SILO Dallas made a strong impression with its clean, spacious bathrooms featuring plentiful stalls and mirrors. Attendees were pleasantly surprised by the lack of bathroom lines, even during peak times - a rare perk in a packed venue. And for those driving to SILO, the venue offers convenient $30 valet parking, ensuring a hassle-free arrival. With a contagious energy that rumbles through every beat,  SKVLEZ is a rising star in the bass music scene carving out his distinctive sound with relentless passion. Born in Israel and now making waves in Dallas, this involved DJ and producer has a magnetic presence that’s hard to ignore. We discussed SKVLEZ’s early journey mastering the saxophone, ultimately navigating him into the EDM world. He also shared insights into his deep connection to the Dallas EDM community and how his cultural roots have shaped his music.  EDM Texas: You were born in Israel before moving to Dallas! How did your cultural background and early experiences in Israel shape your musical tastes and influence your journey into the music world? SKVLEZ: I love blending my culture into my sound, so coming from Israel and that part of the world has influenced my music and art quite a bit. EDM Texas: Your musical journey began with the saxophone in middle school! How did learning the saxophone influence your approach to music production, and what lessons from that time do you still apply today? SKVLEZ: Learning a complex instrument like the saxophone gave me a great foundation for basic music theory and taught me a lot about music in general. I want to incorporate the saxophone and other live instruments and vocalists into my production and even my live sets soon! EDM Texas: Your first encounters with live music were through rap and hip-hop shows, which eventually paved the way for your discovery of EDM! Can you share how those early experiences shaped your musical journey and what about EDM captivated you and inspired you to dive deeper into the genre? SKVLEZ: Those early experiences immersed me in live music and the local community. They helped me become more extroverted and social, leading to connections with great friends and associates within the scene. Over time, I began finding artists I resonated with and continued to discover even more along the way. EDM Texas: How did you go about finding your distinct style, and what does it mean for you to create magic in your music? SKVLEZ: Creating magic within my music means a lot of things! It means creating and combining sounds and ideas that have never been done before and making something people feel. My style has developed over time to factors like what I was raised on listening to, what I listen to now, my culture, and my lifestyle! EDM Texas: You’ve had the opportunity to support some incredible artists in the bass music scene like Mersiv, Jessica Audiffred, HEKLER, and more! Which artists or moments helped shape your growth the most? SKVLEZ: Supporting Of The Trees in Dallas was a major highlight that fueled my inspiration. Opening for Hamdi was another incredibly inspiring experience, bringing everything full circle for me.   EDM Texas: In what ways have you connected with the local Dallas or broader Texas EDM community? Are there any events or groups you’re involved in that highlight your commitment to supporting and growing the scene? SKVLEZ : I’m deeply connected to the Dallas EDM community and always seeking ways to contribute and elevate it. I collaborate closely with local groups and companies, not just by playing shows but also by organizing and hosting events. While I’ve experienced other scenes globally, I’m eager to start making my mark in more of them!  EDM Texas: Are there upcoming projects, collaborations, or performances you’re most excited about that you would like to share with readers?  SKVLEZ: I’m ecstatic to open up for the legends: Hamdi , Eprom , Taiki Nulight , and NIK P  with my brother MONVRCH  this weekend (August 24th) at South Side Music Hall!  I also have tons of new music, collaborations, merch, and more shows coming soon!
